Becoming A DRJ Site
Advising Generation Z's 501(c)(3) organization has launched a new initiative called "Discipline Reimagined Journey" (DRJ). DRJ provides a transformative experience for youth organizations to cultivate a culture of accountability, collaboration, empathy, and transparency among first-time and low-risk young offenders and their families. Becoming a DRJ site is exclusively available for schools, juvenile municipal courts, and other organizations struggling with high-risk youth populations. DRJ sites are given hands-on support to implement an effective disciplinary system to help reduce school suspensions and prevent juvenile delinquency in their communities.

How Organizations Are Selected
AGZ carefully reviews applications and thoughtfully selects five or more organizations from different sectors, including educational institutions, criminal justice agencies, community-based programs, and mental health facilities. These organizations are chosen based on their expertise in working with the same youth population in a given city or region. Organizations selected to serve as DRJ sites share the same unwavering commitment to turning today's young offenders into tomorrow's leaders.

Perks For Participating
DRJ sites will partner with AGZ to equip their frontline staff with the tools required to create a positive environment for all. DRJ sites will receive annual comprehensive support, including the opportunity to select course topics and cast, customizable professional development training and youth assemblies, programming assistance for family engagement, telehealth counseling for youth, monthly one-on-one coaching for select staff, cross-sector networking, invitations to attend events, opportunities to present their organization's progress for media outlets and conferences, and guidance and support from esteemed local and national brands.

What Organizations Can Expect
DRJ sites will administer the online discipline-based courses and matching curriculum lessons from the AdvisingGenz Platform to aid them in addressing defiant behaviors in 10-24-year-olds. DRJ sites are instrumental in helping Advising Generation Z to identify the additional resources needed to create lasting change in the lives of misguided youth. AGZ provides DRJ sites with the framework for implementing this hands-on, cross-sector approach to reduce school suspensions and youth and young adult crime within the community, region, and state.

The effectiveness of DRJ sites depends on cross-sector collaboration among practitioners in the same geographical area, who work together to create outreach initiatives that can be implemented within their organization. AGZ will train the DRJ to form relationships with community organizations that can assist in redirecting misguided youth. Together, we can reduce school suspensions and prevent juvenile delinquency by motivating youth to achieve positive goals, such as completing their education, pursuing higher education, or launching a career.

Regional Collaboration Meeting
The AdvisingGenz platform is designed to provide data that fosters collaboration among criminal justice personnel, law enforcement, social services, educators, policymakers, mental health professionals, and community and business leaders. They can discuss and address pressing youth issues across the metroplex by bringing these stakeholders together. The DRJ Regional Collaboration Meetings will use AGZ's Cross-Sector Hands-On Approach as a guide to initiate change. Meetings are held four times a year at different locations. Organizations should select a group of 4-12 staff members using the program, called "AdvisingGenz Pioneers," to lead this initiative and attend Regional Collaboration Meetings (staff can participate on a rotating basis). Organizations should prioritize diversity in team members, including representation from different generations, genders, ethnicities, and access levels on the AdvisingGenz platform.

Annual Expected Outcomes
DRJ sites equip senior-level and frontline staff with tools to improve discipline systems, culture, relationships, and leadership skills. DRJ organizations partner with other youth professionals to develop innovative strategies and best practices to address critical youth issues, helping them create safer schools and communities.
